CS28/17 - Local Government NSW - 2017 Annual Conference - Determination of Attendees and Voting Delegates

Additional information with CHANGE to Recommendation

At the time of preparing Deputy General Manager’s Report No. CS28/17, Council’s voting delegate entitlement at the Local Government NSW (LGNSW) 2017 Annual Conference was not known. Advice has since been received from LGNSW that Hornsby Shire Council is entitled to seven voting delegates for voting on policy motions and seven voting delegates for voting on the Associations Office Bearers and Board.

In line with the Councillors’ Expenses and Facilities Policy, all Councillors are entitled to attend the Annual Conference of LGNSW. Council does, however, need to make a decision about which of those Councillors attending the Conference will be nominated as voting delegates for voting on policy motions and for voting on the Association’s Office Bearers and Board.

RECOMMENDATION

THAT Council:

1. Determine which Councillors will attend the 2017 Annual Conference of Local Government NSW.

2. Determine which seven Councillors from those attending the Conference will be voting delegates on policy motions.

3. Determine which seven Councillors from those attending the Conference will be voting delegates for the election of Office Bearers and the LGNSW Board.
